Details abou this project:

Every Tuesday 10:00 - 11:30am @ Riverside

We are working on a project, with the Forget-me-Knots, called Tana Bana which literally means ‘warp and weft’ in Hindi. The textiles based project involves weaving fleece on a loom to make a large felt garden panel which is then decorated with flowers, made on flower looms, and insects made from fleece, ribbons, feathers, beads, wires etc.

One aim of the project is to make links between different groups using the same community centre. Each group makes a garden panel and then all the pieces are brought together & displayed in the centre as a single piece of art work. We have a few photos of the work on the website www.sharedheritage.org  & blog http://sharedheritage.blogspot.com/
